Will The Rock Vs. Roman Reigns Ever Happen At WWE WrestleMania?

The Rock going one-on-one against Roman Reigns was once in WWE’s plans for WrestleMania.

The Final Boss initially returned ahead of WrestleMania 40 to set up a feud with his cousin, Roman Reigns. The two were planned to go head-to-head at The Show of Shows.

Nevertheless, plans changed due to fans’ backlash over Cody Rhodes’ booking. Hence, The Rock teamed up with Reigns in a tag team match against Rhodes and Seth Rollins on the first night of WrestleMania.

Since then, many have wondered whether the dream match between The Final Boss and The Original Tribal Chief would ever happen.

WWE Legend Believes The Rock & Roman Reigns Will Never Happen

On a recent episode of his 83 Weeks podcast, WWE Hall of Famer Eric Bischoff was asked whether he thinks The Rock vs. Roman Reigns is still on the table.

The former RAW General Manager pointed out that while it could happen, he believes fans will never see it.

Do I think we will? No. But I think it could happen. I mean, again, so much we don’t know. Where’ Rock at physically in terms of taking bumps? That’s a big question. Does he wanna take that risk at this point in his career? Or does he wanna do what many guys have done, get in the ring when you’re not as good as you used to be.
