Will Ospreay Responds To AEW Fan Critical Of Raunchy Promo
Will Ospreay had an interesting response to an AEW fan who didn’t like something he said on Dynamite.
The former AEW International Champion Will Ospreay was in a celebratory mood on AEW Dynamite in Houston. The reason is that Ospreay recently married longtime partner Alex Windsor, who is a big part of the AEW women’s division.
During a promo on AEW Dynamite, announcer Tony Schiavone mentioned Ospreay’s marriage to Windsor, who didn’t appear on Dynamite this week.
While Ospreay was in the ring on Dynamite, he talked about celebrating his marriage with his wife, and he did it in a unique way.
“I got a good wife, man. So here’s what I did to treat her—I took her upstairs, I smashed the life out of her, bruv. I said, ‘Babe, clean yourself up, I gotta go to Houston.’”
That comment from Ospreay drew an interesting response from the Dynamite crowd, which cheered him for it. However, it’s also not the most polite way to talk about your new wife.
On X/Twitter, a fan remarked that what Ospreay said was gross.
“much like when MJF does it I’m sure Alex is absolutely fine with what he said
however, also like when MJF does it, what a gross way to talk about the love of your life, straight up dehumanising and misogynistic language, yuck”
In response, Ospreay wrote three words: “Touch grass Katherine.”

The phrase “touch grass” is a sarcastic way of telling someone to put down their device and go outside to experience life without it.
Will Ospreay Is Proud That He Has Avoided WWE
During his Dynamite segment, Will Ospreay was doing a face-to-face promo with his Forbidden Door opponent, Swerve Strickland. At Forbidden Door, Ospreay faces Strickland in the finals of the Men’s Owen Hart Foundation Tournament. Whoever wins that match will go on to AEW All In London as the challenger for the AEW World Title.
Strickland has noted that Ospreay has changed because he is now training with the Death Riders. Ospreay has admitted he changed, too, but in his mind, he has changed for the better because he’s learned a lot from the Death Riders.
Since All In London is near where Ospreay grew up, it is very personal for him as he tries to become AEW World Champion for the first time.
Recently, Will Ospreay made the point that he’s happy to have been successful in pro wrestling without working for WWE.
“I was never made by WWE. I was never touched by them. I would hold such pride and honor in knowing that someone from England who never moved away from his country was able to do that. I really hope that inspires so many of the other UK lads and lasses over there that they don’t need to compromise on their beliefs or what they want.”
“I’m proud that I stuck to my guns. This is the last thing I want. I want the responsibility of being the guy — the world champion, the main event and the guy that can be depended on.“
