Update On WWE Contingency Plans For Crown Jewel

We have an update on the potential imminent threat to Saudi Arabia that could affect Crown Jewel.

According to The Wall Street Journal, Saudi Arabia has spoken to the United States of America about a possible attack on their Kingdom from Iran. With World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE), they’re promoting their Crown Jewel Premium Live Event for this weekend in Riyadh.

It is being reported by PWInsider that According to WWE sources, the company still plans on continuing with the show, and that the promotion has taken emergency contingencies and security protocols in case any issues happen. All in WWE are on the positive end that they will be okay.

TJR Wrestling reported earlier on this situation, with The Wall Street Journal stating:

“We are concerned about the threat picture, and we remain in constant contact through military and intelligence channels with the Saudis,” said a National Security Council spokesperson. “We will not hesitate to act in the defense of our interests and partners in the region.”

TJR also stated:

As a result of this, Saudi Arabia, the United States and a number of their neighbouring countries have seemingly “raised the level of alert for their military forces”.

WWE’s Crown Jewel Premium Live Event is this Saturday at 12:00 PM ET on Peacock.
