Two Favorites Considered For Men’s Money In The Bank Match
There are two men that are considered the favorites to win the Men’s Money in the Bank Ladder match.
The coveted men’s and women’s Money in the Bank Ladder Matches are back on Saturday, July 1st during the Money in the Bank Premium Live Event taking place in London, England.
It’s a big match that has an 18-year history in WWE going back to 2005 when the first Men’s Money in the Bank Ladder Match took place at WrestleMania 21. Edge won the briefcase that night and in January 2006 he cashed in on a beaten down John Cena to become the WWE Champion for the first time.
For the 2023 Men’s Money in the Bank Ladder match, the field is set with six superstars that won qualifying matches to earn their spot in the match. Those men are Santos Escobar of the LWO, LA Knight, Ricochet, Shinsuke Nakamura, Damian Priest of The Judgment Day and Butch, who will have the home “field” advantage since he’s from England.
In this week’s Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer commented that there are two favorites to win the match.
The men’s Money in the Bank ladder match has Ricochet, Shinsuke Nakamura, LA Knight, Santos Escobar, Butch and Damian Priest, with Priest and Knight as the two favorites.
There were also betting odds released by BetOnline for the match with LA Knight as the favorite. When it comes to betting, the favorite is the negative (-) number while the underdog is the positive (+) number. The higher the favorite is, the better odds they have of winning. A -175 favorite, as seen below, is the wrestler that is favored to win.
LA Knight 4/7 (-175)
Damian Priest 5/4 (+125)
Butch 10/1 (+1000)
Santos Escobar 10/1 (+1000)
Shinsuke Nakamura 10/1 (+1000)
Richochet 14/1 (+1400)
It’s also worth noting that just because the Money in the Bank field is known right now, a lot of things could change between now and when Money in the Bank takes place on July 1st.
