Two Former Winners Added To WWE Royal Rumble

More big names have been declared for the Royal Rumble.

The Royal Rumble is set to take place on January 27th, coming live from Tropicana Field in Florida. While it’s already been confirmed that Roman Reigns will be in action against a yet-to-be-decided opponent, the centre pieces of the event will undoubtedly be the Rumble matches themselves.

In recent years, WWE has announced the vast majority of entrants in advance and it seems that trend is continuing into 2024.

During the company’s Preview Special on Peacock, it was announced that Shinsuke Nakamura and Becky Lynch will be competing in the men’s and women’s matches respectively. Both stars have strong ties to the Rumble with Nakamura earning victory in 2018 and Lynch in 2019.

Nakamura joins CM Punk and Cody Rhodes in being confirmed for the men’s Royal Rumble match and Lynch takes her place alongside Bayley and Nia Jax.

WWE Announces Huge Money In The Bank Weekend

While the majority of fan attention has turned to the Royal Rumble, WWE is preparing for a stacked 2024. On January 4th it was announced that Money In The Bank will be heading to Toronto, Canada on July 6th as part of a huge weekend of wrestling.

SmackDown will take place in the same arena a day earlier, while NXT Heatwave will follow 24 hours later.
