Truth Revealed After TNA Star Forced To Give Up Gold

More information has been given after a TNA champion was forced to walk away from the ring and give up their gold.

At the NXT Heatwave PLE in late August, Ash By Elegance won the TNA Knockouts Championship from champion Jacy Jayne and former champion Masha Slamovich in a triple threat match.

The star formerly known as Dana Brooke in WWE was originally meant to defend that title at Victory Road against Slamovich, but that match never took place. Slamovich was pulled from the match after domestic abuse allegations were made against her. But Ash By Elegance never competed on that show either.

At Victory Road, Ash By Elegance was emotional as she revealed that she could no longer compete, although she did not specify why. Ash announced that she was stepping away from in-ring competition and reluctantly forfeited the Knockouts World Title.

The situation has left more questions than answers, and now one member of TNA management has weighed in heavily on the matter.

TNA Star’s Condition Is Not A Work

Speaking on Busted Open Radio, Tommy Dreamer was unable to reveal any details on the matter but confirmed it was real, and that Ash By Elegance was no longer physically able to compete:

She is no longer physically able to compete, per her statement and that’s it. There’s HIPAA laws involved and stuff like that. People shouldn’t speculate.

If it’s a work, you’re not going to hand in your title. Like, the Seth Rollins thing, people were speculating… But with Ash, unfortunately, like I said, things changed because she had stepped down and it sucks.

It sucks for her, because it was like she just hit the high of highs with her career and it was off to the races. I mean, it was going to be the winner of her match faced Indi [Hartwell] to defend the title at [Bound for Glory] and everything has to change. ‘Card subject to change’ is a real thing.

NXT star Kelani Jordan captured the vacant TNA Knockouts Title at Victory Road, and she will now, bizarrely, captain the women’s TNA team for their match against Team NXT at their upcoming Showdown.
