Trish Stratus is open to returning to WWE if it feels right.

The year 2025 was a celebration for Trish Stratus as a WWE legend. The Hall of Famer was celebrating 25 years since she debuted in early 2000.

It was also a difficult year for Stratus, who had planned to wrestle more in 2025, but her mother’s death changed her plans, and she didn’t wrestle as often as she wanted.

After a successful heel run in 2023 that involved a feud with Becky Lynch and 10 matches that year, Stratus wrestled in three matches in 2025, including the Women’s Royal Rumble.

At the women’s only Evolution PLE in July 2025, Trish Stratus challenged Tiffany Stratton for the WWE Women’s Title in what was a generational matchup. Stratus failed to win that night, but she showed that she can still perform at a high level.

During a recent appearance at the Texas Comic Con, the 50-year-old Stratus made the point that if she returns to WWE, it has to make sense.

“Like, I was like—Nia Jax came back. We got Rhea Ripley, Raquel Rodriguez is there, right? Okay—that was for Rodriguez. Rhea Ripley, right? Right. Nia Jax—and then we have Jade Cargill. And you’re kind of like, ‘Whoa.’ Like—and I was like, ‘Do I even fit in here?’

“I have some techniques and some tactics that I think I could work the bigger girls in the ring, but I’m always up for a challenge. And honestly, I do enjoy working.

I mean, of course I was a heel this time, but my underdog story—my little coming-from-behind—is kind of my thing. It has been my thing for many years. This is the thing—I’m like, well, it has to check the boxes. One is creative—what is the creative? What am I going to come back and do? Is it going to check these boxes?” (H/T Ringsidenews)

Trish Stratus Has Teased A WWE Return

During a recent interview, Trish Stratus opened up about how her 25th year since debuting in WWE was a special one, and she has certainly kept the door open to a return one day.

“The 25th anniversary year was a special year. [WWE and I] worked together to see how we can celebrate it.

It turned out really good with the homecoming moment, where I could team up with Tiffy. Being part of Evolution, all women’s pay-per-view, obviously, was amazing. Coming back to the Royal Rumble as 25. So, we kind of like plotted it out.

My mom got sick last year, and she passed. So there were plans [for more].

So, I do think there should be a bit of a finale moment. I’m very much about closure. So I feel like that I would need a little bit of closure. And I think maybe you guys need some closure on your Stratusfaction as well. Maybe.”

For WrestleMania 42 week in Las Vegas, Trish Stratus will be making several appearances while also creating a menu at Flanker, where some WWE legends will be appearing with her.
