Triple H Got Rid Of Ezekiel Character ‘As Soon As He Got Power’

Ezekiel

Triple H wants Elias, not Ezekiel.

Both on WWE TV and backstage, there have been a ton of changes in World Wrestling Entertainment ever since Paul “Triple H” Levesque took control over company creative.

One of the things switched up by the new regime was Ezekiel’s character, who is the storyline brother of Elias. Both Ezekiel and Elias are played by Jeffrey Sciullo. This Monday on WWE Raw, Elias is booked to make an appearance.

According to a recent report, Triple H wasn’t big on Ezekiel, getting rid of the gimmick as soon as he replaced the Vince McMahon regime’

Dave Meltzer of Wrestling Observer is reporting that as soon as Triple H came into power, he scratched off Ezekiel, instead giving Sciullo time away from television so he could bring back his beard for the return of Elias. It appears that process is now over, with Elias making an appearance this Monday on Raw.

“Elias returns on RAW on 10/17. He needed time off to grow back his beard and hair from the Ezekiel character. HHH pretty much dropped Ezekiel as soon as he got power.”

WWE rebranded Elias as Ezekiel following WrestleMania 38, labeling him the younger brother of Elias in their storyline. Ezekiel would go on to have a feud with Kevin Owens, with Triple H using a Owens victory to get rid of Ezekiel. Now, Elias will reportedly be returning to WWE to avenge Ezekiel, launching a rivalry of his own with K.O.
