Trinity Fatu surprised fans last week by joining Impact Wrestling and wasted no time in letting the world know she joined because of the Knockouts Division.

Joining Impact Wrestling during TV tapings in Chicago at the end of April, Trinity gained a great reaction from the crowd and from colleagues online as the two-time WWE Smackdown Women’s Champion stepped inside a ring for the first time since leaving WWE.

Trinity has shared how one former WWE and Impact Star influenced her decision to join the company and heaped praise on Knockout’s storytelling.

The former WWE Women’s Tag Team Champion was speaking with Denise Salcedo about how it felt to debut on Impact.

“I think they have one of the best women’s divisions right now, and they really don’t get the attention or respect. They’ve always told great stories with their women’s division… just having the conversation I had with Gail [Kim] really sealed the deal for me. With all that’s going on in the world of women’s wrestling, I feel that [Impact] is the place that I can be most useful.”

With Knockout Champion Deonna Purrazzo on notice, Trinity also discussed potentially competing in intergender matches now that she is part of the Impact Wrestling roster.

“There’s just so many possibilities. We’ll see, I’m there so whatever comes, I’m with it. There are no wrong answers.”

Trinity has opened up on why she made the decision to leave WWE in May 2022 whilst holding the Women’s Tag Team Championship with Mercedes Mone, working at the time as Sasha Banks.
