Top WWE Superstar May Join AEW In 2027
This WWE star may join AEW, speculates a major wrestling analyst, but not before 2027, he says.
Bayley is one of the WWE Women’s Division’s top stars. She began her tenure with WWE in 2012 and had wrestled in the independent circuit between 2008 and 2012.
Her reign of the SmackDown Women’s Championship is one of the longest in the title’s history at 380 days, a record that is tied with Rhea Ripley’s title reign.
Bayley is a former 2-time WWE Women’s Champion. She won the Royal Rumble before WrestleMania 40 and became the new champion at the Showcase of the Immortals that year.
Recently, Bayley has been a part of the tag team division alongside her friend and teammate Lyra Valkyria. She performs on the Raw brand, and the pair had an opportunity at the Women’s Tag Team Titles at WrestleMania 42 but failed to capture the gold.
Bayley even had a shot at the Intercontinental Title when AJ Lee held it a while before WrestleMania 42, but couldn’t defeat Lee for the title.
With The Role Model firmly cemented in the mid-card and tag team division at the moment, many fans are speculating whether she would make a move to rival promotion AEW.
Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful had some insight on the matter and discussed it recently on Fightful Select.
Sean Ross Sapp Says WWE Star Bayley May Join AEW, But Not Before 2027
Rumour Roundup from cagesideseats.com shared the rumour that Bayley would, at some point, leave for AEW.
Fightful’s Sean Ross Sapp speculated that Bayley signing with AEW is possible in 2027, but not before then. He thinks she will “probably explore” the option if AEW makes her an offer at that time.
Many wrestlers have been known to jump ship from one promotion to another when they feel underutilised or don’t see growth in the company.
A recent example of a wrestler quitting WWE to join AEW and getting more screen time there is Tommaso Ciampa. Ciampa is arguably achieving more success in AEW already than he did in WWE in recent years. He won and lost the TNT championship as soon as he joined AEW and is now a part of the main event scene there.
