Tony Khan Wants Another Guns N’ Roses Collaboration

Tony Khan AEW All In

Tony Khan is interested in using more Guns N Roses songs on AEW programming in the future.

On the road to the AEW Full Gear PPV in November, company Owner Tony Khan secured the rights for AEW to use the song “November Rain” from the legendary band Guns N Roses for video packages throughout the month.

After obtaining the “November Rain” song, AEW aired multiple videos using the classic song while airing AEW clips.

During an appearance on The Five Star Podcast. Tony Khan revealed that he wants to use more Guns N’ Roses songs in the future.

“I’ve had talks. This is the first time I’ve ever said it out loud so exclusive stuff right here, about maybe doing even more collaborating with Guns N’ Roses in AEW on licensing.”

In the past, Khan has discussed licensing music for AEW whether it’s wrestler theme songs or video packages. Khan licenses those songs in perpetuity because then the content can be used in the future.

Tony Khan Has Plans For Ring Of Honor Brand

The final ROH PPV of the year is Final Battle on December 20th. Chris Jericho is the ROH World Champion who spoke at length about why Tony Khan was optimistic about the future of the ROH brand.

“I’m not a nostalgia guy. Maybe you might want to bring in some guys that used to work there, but a lot of those guys are still in the business. Maybe Bryan Danielson or somebody like that. Whoever is out there that would stop by. To me, it’s more about what we’re doing now with Ring of Honor.

There is a lot going on that is in the works with television and that sort of thing. We’re trying to put as much focus on the Ring of Honor brand as we can. That’s why, as Ring of Honor Champion, I’ve been on Ring of Honor three weeks, it’s the most press and the most focus the Ring of Honor brand has had on Dynamite in months, if not years, probably since the last time I was Ring of Honor Champion.

Tony has a plan for what he wants to do with it and I’m happy to be involved. It’s been great being on Dynamite promoting this match because this is a Ring of Honor show. To be on Dynamite to put a spotlight on our show and then go back to Collision, that’s kind of my role in the company, doing whatever it is Tony wants me to do, to the best of my abilities, and having a great time doing it.”

Since Tony Khan acquired ROH, fans have had to use WatchROH.com to follow the brand, but based on Jericho’s comments, a better deal could be available for ROH in the future.
