Tommaso Ciampa Credits Ex-WWE & AEW Champion For Meeting Wife
Tommaso Ciampa recently shared the details about how he met his wife.
Ciampa married Jesse Lynn Whitney in 2013, with whom he has a daughter. The 40-year-old recently quit WWE, where he had a 10-year stint before joining AEW.
On the January 28 episode of Dynamite, the 40-year-old made his shocking appearance while answering then-TNT Champion Mark Briscoe’s open challenge.
On the following Collision taping, The Psycho Killer defeated Briscoe to become the new TNT Champion. In doing so, he also earned the accolade of becoming the first wrestler to win a championship in their debut match in AEW.
Tommaso Ciampa will defend his title against Kyle Fletcher on the February 11 episode of Dynamite.
Tommaso Ciampa Credits Samoa Joe For Meeting Wife
Tommaso Ciampa recently sat down with Renee Paquette on Up Close, where he revealed the details of his personal life and how he met his wife.
He credited former WWE and AEW Champion Samoa Joe for bringing them together.
She worked in both TNA and WWE as a backstage producer, before I ever met her and she was out of the business for years before I met her, but she became friends with [Samoa] Joe, AJ [Styles], Sonjay [Dutt], [Jay] Lethal, Christopher Daniels, etc. in her TNA time.
He then shared that their first interaction took place on MySpace.
And she was working independently as a freelancer and she wanted to do this show that would be following independent wrestlers, you’d see what they do in the ring, but you really get to know the person.
And she basically asked Joe like, ‘Hey, could you look at this list of people and then tell me if you have people added?’ And Joe added my name to a list. I don’t think I even really knew Joe at the time very well, you know.
So our first ever interaction was on MySpace. MySpace DM or message. I forget what those are called. Just Samoa Joe and MySpace. And honestly, we talked.
