TKO’s Pricing Continues To Spell Disaster For WWE Elimination Chamber And WrestleMania 42

Ever since TKO purchased WWE, a prominent change has been how tickets are priced.

TKO’s pricing policies are focused on revenue and profit. In contrast, when Vince McMahon ran the show, he focused on making the tickets affordable to the audience, especially since he wanted more families to walk through the doors.

Currently, WrestleMania 42 ticket sales are suffering significantly due to the pricing structure. Only about half the tickets have been sold for each night, and WWE is trying to boost sales in every possible way.

WWE Elimination Chamber might not have enough in attendance

WWE Elimination Chamber is happening in Chicago on February 28th, 2026. The show is supposed to set the tone for WrestleMania 42 as well, especially the world championship matches.

Dave Meltzer from the Wrestling Observer Radio reported that, despite CM Punk being advertised for the show, tickets are not selling. The primary reason cited for it is the price.

They’re not sold out in Chicago, actually, it’s somebody who’s in business from Chicago who, you know, wrote me this morning… I thought like, ‘Hey, this thing would sell out. You got Punk. You got the Chamber. WWE pay-per-views are hot. People are willing to spend a lot of money.’ And basically the guy was saying that like, ‘Look, you know, for one ticket in the two hundreds, it’s going to cost me like $650, I think… It’s just not worth it.

In fact, even AJ Lee has been advertised for the Elimination Chamber. She is facing Becky Lynch with the Women’s Intercontinental Championship on the line.
