Major Championship Changes Hands On WWE SmackDown
A new champion was crowned in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
Last April, Guilia debuted on the main roster on Monday Night RAW. About a month later, the 31-year-old moved to SmackDown.
Although she qualified for the Women’s Money in the Bank match, she failed to win as Naomi left with the briefcase. Meanwhile, the Japanese star entered a storyline with Zelina Vega.
Tonight on SmackDown, Guilia challenged Vega for the Women’s United States Championship, where she succeeded in ending the former LWO member’s 60-day reign.

Guilia Considers The WWE Women’s United States Championship A Stepping Stone
The Japanese star is one of the most exciting rising stars in the Stamford-based company today. Many fans and experts expect her to one day become a world champion.
Ahead of her Women’s United States Championship match with Zelina Vega tonight, the 31-year-old cut a promo where she claimed the title was not as important to her as it is for her rival.
The newly-crowned champion described the Women’s United States Championship as a “stepping stone” in her WWE career.
This championship means a lot to you. It doesn’t to me. To me, it’s just a stepping stone.
It would be interesting to see who Guilia would cross paths with during her first title reign on the WWE main roster.
