Thunder Rosa Pulled From AAA TripleMania

Thunder Rosa

Lucha Libre AAA has been forced to make a major change due to an injury.

At TripleMania XXX: Mexico City, which is scheduled next month on October 15th, AEW Women’s Champion Thunder Rosa was booked to take on Taya Valkyrie for her AAA Reina de Reinas Championship.

Prior to AEW All Out, Rosa would make an announcement about her back injury and that it would keep her out for an undetermined amount of time. As a result, AEW crowned Toni Storm their interim Women’s World Champion through a tournament.

AAA has also been on the move for a quick replacement for Rosa, sharing a video Friday night of NWA World Women’s Champion Kamille, who made the shift official after saying she was attempting to take Valkyrie’s strap at TripleMania.

This isn’t the first time that Kamille and Valkyrie will meet, as the two have a recent history meeting at NWA 74 for the NWA World Women’s Championship, and Triplemania XXX: Mexico City won’t be the last. On November 12th, Kamille and Valkyrie will wrestle once again for the NWA belt, taking place at Hard Times.

Thunder Rosa recently gave an update on her back injury on “Busted Open Radio” on SiriusXM, as well as posting photos on her social media.
