Thekla To Returning AEW Star: ” I Can’t Wait To Injure You Again”
Thekla had some toxic words for an AEW star who recently returned to in-ring competition.
On the February 18 episode of Dynamite, Thunder Rosa made her first appearance in a backstage segment with Kris Statlander since the All In: Texas pay-per-view in July 2025.
Rosa was one of the participants in the Casino Gauntlet match, which was ultimately won by Athena. It was later announced that she would be taking some time off due to an undisclosed injury.
In the meantime, Thekla made her move towards the AEW Women’s World Championship, announcing herself as the challenger for Statlander’s title.
‘The Toxic Spider’ shockingly defeated Statlander in a Strap Match to become the new champion, but not before leaving the 30-year-old a bloody mess.
Thekla Vows To Put Thunder Rosa On The Injured List Again
On the February 21 taping of AEW Collision, Thunder Rosa faced the Triangle of Madness’ Julia Hart in her first match since July last year.
The near-10-minute match witnessed great back-and-forth action, with Rosa showing no signs of ring rust. While Hart dominated the bout, Rosa came back and hit her Fire Thunder Driver finisher for the win.
After the match, Thekla distracted Rosa by appearing in the audience. Hart attempted to hit her with a cheap shot but was prevented by Kris Statlander.
The Austrian champion later sent a warning for the Mexican wrestler, vowing to injure her again.
Where’s my celebration? Where’s my party for ending Big Stat Daddy’s reign? Where’s the big ‘thank you Thekla’ for making AEW toxic? I’m not a hard girl to please. You know, I don’t need cakes and confetti and balloons. All I need is some lime and salt with my tequila, some cigarrillos, some good music, and a bunch of shit I’m not gonna say here.
(Claps) Am I everybody’s favorite now? Like, who’s even left? Big Stat Daddy? You still bleedin’, baby? Thunder Rosa? I can’t wait to injure you again. Well, all your favorites are bitches, and those bitches are dead, and there’s only one woman left standing and alive, and if any of you want to get your hands on this one (gestures to AEW Women’s World Title), you can get your own belt at Shop AEW. But this one ain’t going nowhere. [H/T: Fightful]
