Wrestling Legend Believes The Young Bucks “Don’t Seem Motivated”
The Young Bucks appear to lack motivation at this point in their AEW careers, according to a wrestling legend.
This past Wednesday on AEW Dynamite, The Young Bucks (Matt & Nick Jackson) faced off against The Hardys (Matt & Jeff Hardy) in a match between two teams that many fans consider among the best of all-time.
At one point in the match, the announcers made the point that some people might consider The Hardys as the best team of the 2000s decade while there are also fans that think The Young Bucks are the best team of the 2010s as well.
It was a competitive, ten-minute match with The Young Bucks picking up the win. The two teams hugged after the match as a sign of respect.
There was an interesting stat mentioned by AEW announcer Excalibur before the match it was only the third 2-on-2 tag team match in the last 12 months since the Bucks have done a lot of trios tag team matches.
While speaking on his Keeping It 100 podcast, wrestling legend Konnan spoke about how it feels like the Young Bucks don’t seem motivated right now.
“They don’t seem motivated. They just don’t seem motivated the last few months, you know what I’m saying. They still brought it in the ring. But their backstage promos weren’t that good and they just, I don’t know, they’ve kind of become stale.”
The Young Bucks Will Face FTR At AEW All In
After The Young Bucks beat The Hardys, Matt & Nick Jackson called out FTR to accept the FTR challenge for an AEW Tag Team Title match at All In on August 27th at Wembley Stadium in front of 80,000+ fans. The Bucks and FTR are 1-1 in tag team matches in the past, so it’s the perfect venue to settle who the better team is as the Bucks try to leave with the AEW Tag Team Titles.
It was also announced earlier this month that The Young Bucks, Kenny Omega & Adam Page signed long-term contracts to stay in AEW for many more years ahead.
