The Rock Reacts To Record Breaking WWE Return

The Rock WWE SmackDown

The Rock has responded to breaking the internet with his WWE return.

Finally, The Rock came back to WWE television on SmackDown in Denver, Colorado, receiving a huge reception from the crowd as he joined Pat McAfee in a surprise appearance on the show. McAfee had been reminiscing with his WrestleMania 38 opponent Austin Theory before The Rock came to the ring to put Theory firmly in his place.

At one point, the WWE icon directed the crowd in a chant towards Theory where everyone came together to call Theory an “a**hole” before nailing him with the People’s Elbow.

The return saw SmackDown ratings rise and WWE has touted the success of the segment by noting that it has been viewed well over 100 million times on social media making it the most viewed WWE video of 2023.

The Rock says there’s “no place like home”

Taking to social media, The Rock has responded to his record-breaking appearance as he showed love for the place he still refers to as his home:

I’ll raise a glass to breaking records together Thank you for the unforgettable memory (and insane crowd reaction) No place like home @WWE#PeoplesChamp#WWEFamily”

The People’s Champion raised eyebrows before his return to the WWE ring when he revealed that it had been a done deal for him to face Roman Reigns at WrestleMania 39 before plans changed.
