The Great Khali is one of the biggest names in the wrestling business, and he recently addressed whether he would be willing to join AEW.

Khali began his professional wrestling career in 2000. A few years later, he joined WWE in January 2006, becoming the first Indian professional wrestler to sign a contract with the company.

During his time in WWE, he became a major attraction and faced some of the biggest names in the wrestling industry like Rey Mysterio, Big Show, The Undertaker, and John Cena. Khali’s WWE contract expired on November 24, 2014, after which he left the company.

However, he has made several sporadic appearances for WWE since then. He returned at WWE Battleground 2017, where he helped Jinder Mahal defeat Randy Orton in a Punjabi Prison match for the WWE Championship.

He later participated in the Greatest Royal Rumble in April 2018 in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. His most recent WWE appearance came at WWE Superstars Spectacle 2023. For his contributions to the company, The Great Khali was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame as part of the WWE Hall of Fame Class of 2021.

The Great Khali Has No Intention To Join AEW

Khali, who was recently called out by SmackDown star Kit Wilson, spoke with Monopoly Events’ Jamal Niaz at For The Love of Wrestling 2026 and addressed whether he would consider joining AEW.

When asked about the possibility, The Great Khali stated that if he ever returns to the wrestling ring, it would be for WWE because the company made him the star he is today. He made it clear that he would not be interested in working for any other wrestling promotion.

If I work one day, I only want to work in WWE, because WWE made me a star. So I won’t work for any other company,
