The Elite’s Return Teased On AEW Dynamite

It looks like The Elite are on their way back to AEW television very soon after The Young Bucks’ and Kenny Omega’s return was heavily teased on Dynamite.

The Young Bucks and Kenny Omega were suspended by AEW and stripped of the Trios Championship due to their part in the fight that took place backstage after All Out. Tempers flared following CM Punk’s astonishing remarks at the post-show media scrum and he is alleged to have been confronted in his locker room by The Bucks. Latest reports on that situation suggest that Punk’s dog Larry was injured in the melee.

All of those involved in the incident were suspended with The Elite and CM Punk being stripped of their respective championships.

On Dynamite in Norfolk, Virginia the clearest sign yet came after weeks of not being acknowledged that The Elite are on their way back. A video package played featuring the trio as they dissolved out of many big moments from their AEW careers – perhaps indicating what life would be like if AEW carried on without them. At the end the AEW logo also dissolved out of shot which some have taken as a statement that the company itself would not exist if it hadn’t been for The Elite.

Earlier in the day, Fightful Select reported the latest on the situation saying that there has been talk behind the scenes in the company that The Young Bucks and Kenny Omega could be set to return – at least to their backstage roles of EVPs.

A source is quoted as saying that the return could happen “imminently” but nothing has been confirmed. A meeting was said to have been scheduled for last week but no information has come to light from that.
