The Bella Twins are about to make history yet again in an upcoming WWE SmackDown match.

Ever since Brie Bella returned to WWE at the 2026 Royal Rumble in Riyadh, the twin sister duo of Nikki & Brie Bella have made it clear they are coming for the Women’s Tag Team Titles.

The Women’s Tag Team Titles were introduced in 2019, after the Bellas were full-time members of the WWE roster, so the sisters never got to compete for them until now.

On WWE SmackDown in Phoenix, The Irresistible Forces team of Nia Jax & Lash Legend defending the Women’s Tag Team Titles against former champions Charlotte Flair & Alexa Bliss. The Bellas were at ringside watching the match in their hometown of Phoenix.

As the action spilled to the floor, the Bellas were attacked, prompting Brie to enter the ring and punch Jax during the match, resulting in a DQ finish.

After the match was over, the three teams of The Irresistible Forces, The Bella Twins, and Flair/Bliss got into a fight that saw Jax & Legend standing tall as the dominant team that they are.

The Bella Twins Get Their Shot At WWE Women’s Tag Team Titles On March 20th

Later in the show, in the backstage area, The Bella Twins argued with Charlotte Flair and Alexa Bliss about what happened. The Bellas said they got involved because they were attacked, and they are going for the Women’s Tag Team Titles.

It’s a history-making moment for The Bella Twins because they will be the first twin sisters to compete for the Women’s Tag Team Titles.

Even though the last time The Bella Twins won a tag team match was on the September 3rd, 2018 edition of Raw over the Riott Squad, they are being gifted with a shot at the Women’s Tag Team Titles, perhaps because of their legendary status as WWE Hall of Famers.

The title match was confirmed on SmackDown, and it will take place on the March 20th SmackDown in Raleigh, NC, as The Bellas challenge The Irresistible Forces for the Women’s Tag Team Titles.

Based on what happened on this week’s SmackDown, it wouldn’t be a surprise if Charlotte Flair and Alexa Bliss were ringside to watch the match.
