Surprise Name Behind Liv Morgan’s Title Win

Liv Morgan Ronda Rousey hug at Money In The Bank

The wrestling world celebrated Liv Morgan in Las Vegas as she captured her first title in WWE, but now it has emerged a surprising name was behind the idea for Morgan’s win.

It was a career-making night on the 2nd of July for Liv Morgan as she overcame Alexa Bliss, Asuka, Becky Lynch, Lacey Evans, Raquel Rodriguez, and Shotzi to win the women’s Money In The Bank briefcase.

Not content with taking home that piece of hardware, Morgan made sure to trade it in for her title shot before the night was done. Liv Morgan struck after Ronda Rousey had successfully defended her SmackDown Women’s Title against Natalya, cashing in her contract on the former UFC star.

Morgan survived an ankle lock before rolling Rousey up for the pinfall and her first championship in WWE. After the match, Rousey handed Liv Morgan the title before raising her hand in a show of respect.

Now Ronda Rousey’s personal photographer – who was at Money In The Bank – has dropped an interesting bit of information as she implied that it was Rousey who was behind the idea to make Liv Morgan champion.

Stephanie Hypes posted a video on social media from Morgan’s quick win over Rousey and added the caption:

“Respect to Ronda Rousey, who never wanted or asked to be champion…And demanded that the most passionate pro wrestler be awarded the most prestigious title in our industry…#respect”

Despite the show of respect between the two women, it seems like Ronda Rousey won’t have to wait too long to get her chance to reclaim the title.
