The Sooner The Better For Britt Baker Return Says Tony Khan

Tony Khan poses with Britt Baker

Tony Khan is excited about the return of Britt Baker.

Britt Baker hasn’t wrestled since being beaten by Kris Statlander back in mid-September — missing out on the TBS Title in the process. There has been little information about Baker’s absence, although she previously stated she felt she needed to take a step back from AEW.

During the AEW Dynasty post-show media scrum, Tony Khan was asked about Baker as well as Kenny Omega.

Kenny Omega hasn’t wrestled since being diagnosed with diverticulitis back in December.

“I look forward to seeing both of them as soon as we possibly can. I think both of them have been recuperating from totally different things. Both great, former world champions for AEW and hopefully we can see them both soon. Going to Winnipeg, it would be great, even if he can’t return, to see Kenny Omega, that would be pretty awesome for the fans up there. That is something, I’m optimistic, hopefully we could do.

For Britt Baker, the sooner she’s back, the better, she’s a great world champion for us and a great representative for AEW. We’ve missed her. That would be tremendous. We saw Adam Cole back tonight and hopefully we’ll seen Dr. Britt Baker back sometime soon too.

We miss Kenny Omega. I’ve talked to him a few times this week. He’s one of our greatest champions and greatest stars ever. He’s been here from the beginning. We definitely miss him,”

Tony Khan Excited To See MJF Return

When asked about another former World Champion, Tony Khan said he hopes he can have MJF back in the fold “very soon.”

The most recent report on MJF’s status said the star is “still working to recover from his multiple injuries.” Although despite his hints to the contrary, MJF remains “locked in” to a deal with AEW.

MJF hasn’t wrestled since being defeated by Samoa Joe at Worlds End in December. Heading into that match he was dealing with a legitimately torn labrum as well as a hip injury sustained during his clash with Jay White at Full Gear.
