Shawn Michaels Makes Major WWE Announcement Ahead Of NXT

Shawn Michaels just dropped a huge announcement.

Ever since NXT first launched over ten years ago, the brand has become a breeding ground for future WWE stars. Many of the company’s current top stars all graduated from NXT. Roman Reigns, Seth Rollins, Kevin Owens, Bron Breakker, Oba Femi, and many others started their WWE run in the black and silver brand.

Over the years, NXT has undergone many changes. The brand rebranded itself a few times and even underwent a leadership change a few years ago. Shawn Michaels took over from Triple H as the lead booker for the black and silver brand. He has been doing a decent job with booking storylines and matches. For over a year, NXT has aired on The CW Network. Recently, it was announced that future NXT PLEs will also air on The CW Network.

Shawn Michaels announces first PLE to air on The CW Network

Shawn Michaels just took to social media to announce that NXT The Great American Bash will be the first PLE to air on The CW Network on June 28th, and it will have a special start time of 7 p.m. He also announced that Tony D’Angelo will defend this NXT Championship against Kam Hendrix this week on the black and silver brand.

“Hello boys and girls, and I know everybody’s used to seeing me these days with my crazy posts on Instagram and TikTok, but everybody’s been asking me, when is the first PLE on the CW Network? Well, that’s what this announcement is for. June 28th, CW Network and NXT are gonna bring you The Great American Bash. This partnership is moving forward. The Great American Bash on June 28th will have a special start time of 7 p.m. Tonight, don’t forget to join us on the CW Network at 8 p.m. as Tony D’Angelo defends NXT Championship against Kam Hendrix. Watch us tonight on the CW, and don’t forget to join us on June 28th for The Great American Bash.”
