Seth Rollins Reveals That His WWE Promos Are No Longer Scripted

Seth Rollins addresses crowd

Seth Rollins has revealed that his WWE promos are no longer scripted. The Messiah said that while he has an idea of what he wants to say, nothing is written down.

Speaking in a new interview, Rollins opened up about the very divisive subject, explaining that written promos just don’t work for him.

In conversation with Richard Deitsch on the Sports Media podcast, Rollins said this promos are now “almost zero percent scripted.”

“I would say I do almost zero percent scripted in the sense that, I don’t write things down on a piece of paper and read them and memorize them in that way. That doesn’t really work for me. Scripted in the sense that, I have a pretty good idea of what I want to say when I go out to the ring and grab a microphone, but it’s not written down. It’s like it’s written in a tablet in my head. There is no piece of paper for me. I can’t do that. I tried it and it doesn’t fly for me.”

Rollins’ comments come after a two week long promo battle between The Messiah and his SummerSlam opponent Edge. The two Superstars have been on a collision course since Rollins interfered in Edge’s match against Universal Champion Roman Reigns at Money In The Bank.

As the SummerSlam clash was confirmed, Edge chastised Rollins calling him ‘Edge-lite.’ In response a week later, The Messiah pledged to take out the Rated R Superstar in Las Vegas.

Speaking on a media call ahead of the event, Rollins also addressed the WWE status of his wife Becky Lynch. The former RAW Women’s Champion has been linked with a return to action for a number of months but has yet to appear.

The former World Champion said that while it was Lynch’s goal to come back, she would only do so when the time was right.
