Seth Rollins Provides Massive Injury Update Before WWE Royal Rumble
Seth Rollins has revealed the latest update on his condition ahead of the WWE Royal Rumble.
Seth Rollins was forced to vacate the World Heavyweight Championship in October after he suffered a nasty injury during his Crown Jewel match with Cody Rhodes. Prior to Rollins’ injury being confirmed, he was brutally betrayed by The Vision as Bron Breakker launched a shocking attack against him.
Rollins had apparently suffered a knee injury earlier in the year, but that turned out to be the “ruse of the century” as he returned to action at SummerSlam to cash in his Money In The Bank contract on CM Punk to win the World Heavyweight Title.
Seth Rollins Still Aiming For WrestleMania
Speaking with Men’s Health, Seth Rollins gave the latest timeline for his potential return to the ring, and says he’s hoping to be back for WrestleMania 42:
The timeline for shoulder surgery and repair is, you know, four to 6 months or so. Did my rotator cuff back in October. I’m rehabbing; as long as there’s no setbacks, I hope to be cleared by the time Wrestlemania rolls around in April.
But I mean, at the end of the day, that decision isn’t mine. I just can do the best I can day after day, get myself in a good position, and hope for the best.
I’m at 12 weeks right now; this week coming up, I’m like finally, you know, like I’m good. Mobility’s good. Just got to keep it and then work on the strength, and, you know, like I said, hopefully we’re on track for sometime before April 20th or whenever WrestleMania is.
What seems certain, however, is that Seth Rollins won’t get the chance to earn a shot for the title he was forced to give up by winning the Royal Rumble.
