Saraya is currently causing mayhem in AEW as part of The Outcasts, but it is one name in particular that was on her mind, as the Two-Time Diva’s Champion praised the creativity of a current WWE main eventer.

During her time in WWE, Saraya rose to fame competing under the name Paige, gaining success in NXT winning the 2013 Women’s Tournament and the NXT Championship.

But it was on her Raw debut that Saraya became a household name, defeating AJ Lee on her debut to become WWE Diva’s Champion.

During her time in WWE, Saraya worked events all around the world, including the annual Tribute to the Troops shows.

It was whilst working this event, that a current WWE Superstar came up with a new nickname for the Norwich born competitor.

Appearing on Z100’s Superstar Crossover, the former WWE Star was given a question to answer from the previous episode’s guest.

This happened to be Cody Rhodes, who has just main evented WrestleMania 39, with “The American Nightmare” earning an opportunity after winning the 2023 Men’s Royal Rumble.

Rhodes asked the question “How much do they miss me?”, which led to Saraya admitting that she had not seen Rhodes for some time and that AEW do miss him “quite a bit”, before sharing a memory from their time together in WWE.

Whilst working under the moniker of Stardust, Rhodes discussed Saraya’s appearance backstage.

“We were doing ‘Tribute to the Troops’ and he was Stardust,”

“There was this girl that was looking at me like, but she looked like me. She was gothic or whatever. He was like, ‘She kind of looks like you, but you’re a more glamorous version. Like a glampire!’ I loved that so much. I don’t think he would even remember that, but I took it, stole it, loved it. He’s an angel and hopefully I get to see him again soon.”

With AEW creating The Outcasts faction, the company is looking to establish its ‘homegrown’ talent such as Britt Baker and MJF.

Saraya has discussed causing AEW to get fined and her thoughts on the AEW locker room, singling out one female in particular as the “next big thing”.

The Outcasts have now set their collective sights on dethroning AEW Women’s Champion Jamie Hayter.
