Sami Zayn faced Aleister Black (w/Zelina) on WWE SmackDown tonight.

Before the match, he was featured in a backstage segment, where he shared his thoughts about Randy Orton’s attack on Cody Rhodes last week.

His segment was interrupted by Trick Williams, who also sat by the ringside during Zayn’s match. In the recent past, Williams has tried to get under the skin of the former United States Champion.

Sami Zayn Gets Knocked Out After Trick Williams Distraction

The fans inside the Lenovo Center in Raleigh, North Carolina, did not sing to Sami Zayn’s theme song as they usually do.

Despite starting positively, Zayn relinquished his advantage. Aleister Black struck Zayn with a couple of hard knee shots, putting him on the defensive.

Zayn went for a Helluva Kick, but missed, allowing Black to hit a Meteora.

The Canadian star briefly brought the action outside the ring and mouthed off to Williams, who threw his drink on Zayn’s back.

Sami attacked Trick, but was met with a Black Mass as soon as he entered the ring and lost.
