Rumour Killer On Roman Reigns’ Next Opponent

Roman Reigns WWE

A high-profile rematch is reportedly off the cards for Roman Reigns.

Despite Survivor Series traditionally being one of WWE’s ‘big four’ events, Roman Reigns is set to miss the 2023 edition on November 25th. This means that the Undisputed WWE Universal Champion won’t be back in the ring until the Royal Rumble in January.

Reigns’ most recent outing came against LA Knight at Crown Jewel, with many tipping Knight to get another shot at the gold in the near future. However, if Knight is to face Reigns again, it won’t be at the Royal Rumble.

Reporting in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer noted that Triple H has “another plan” for the Tribal Chief at the Rumble.

“We were told that as of this time Reigns vs. Knight is not the title match at Rumble. That is Reigns’ next match. There are those who feel it should be Knight in that spot but we were told Levesque has another plan right now.”

Roman Reigns Not Advertised FDor Huge WWE Event

The Head of The Table’s part-time schedule looks certain to continue in 2024, with the star seemingly set to miss another high-profile event.

Following the news that WWE will be heading to Germany in August, Roman Reigns isn’t advertised for the event. While there’s plenty of time between now and the Bash In Berlin, Reigns isn’t featured on posters for the show.

Interestingly, Drew McIntyre is featured in promotional material, something that’s especially noteworthy given that his contract expires long before the event takes place.
