Royal Rumble Comeback Decision Reportedly “All On Rousey”

Ronda Rousey at Royal Rumble 2019

At least one WWE official reportedly made the flight to California to discuss a potential return at the Royal Rumble with Ronda Rousey, with the decision now in the hands of ‘The Baddest Woman on the Planet’.

As rumours continue to swirl regarding a potential Royal Rumble appearance for Ronda Rousey, a new report has shed some light on the situation.

According to Mike Johnson of PWInsider, “at least one” WWE official flew to California last week for an in-person meeting with the former Raw Women’s Champion. It was also noted that Abraham Esparza, who worked as Rousey’s stylist and makeup artist during her last WWE run, is scheduled to be at the Royal Rumble and the following episode of Monday Night Raw. This has seemingly been organised for a number of weeks.

The report also adds that WWE sources have said that the decision over a return is now in the UFC star’s hands, saying “it’s all on Rousey.” However, the company are ready and hope to have her back in time for a WrestleMania program.

On January 24th, it was reported by Fightful Select that Rousey is already training for a return and could even return to the ring at the Royal Rumble itself. This was followed up with a further report that said a huge clash between Ronda Rousey and Becky Lynch is under “heavy consideration” for WrestleMania 38.

‘The Man’ herself has already started adding fuel to the fire of all the speculation around Rousey’s return. Taking to Twitter, Lynch shared a photo of herself with her Raw Women’s Championship, saying “I was wondering if you’d show up again. I’ve still got her, and she’s doing great.”
