Ronda Rousey has confirmed that she has suffered a minor injury ahead of her WrestleMania clash with Charlotte Flair.

Ronda Rousey has revealed that she is dealing with a minor injury only two weeks out from a blockbuster match at WrestleMania 38 which will see her challenge Charlotte Flair for the WWE SmackDown Women’s Championship.

During a recent Facebook Gaming Stream, the former Raw Women’s Champion said that, as well as feeling “so sick”, she had torn her labial frenulum, the piece of tissue which connects your gums to your upper lip.

“Oh, I’m totally fantastic, fine. I tore my labial frenulum apparently, which is that little piece of skin that connects your lip to your jaw or whatever, my top jaw. I’m like so sick and not feeling good right now. Sorry guys if I sound like crap. I’ve literally sounded like this all day.

“So tired, Po [her daughter] was so fussy on the plane on the way back and just, you know, SmackDown was a very physical day. I’m sore, I’m sick, I’m tired.”

Elsewhere on the stream, Rousey discussed the rumoured WrestleMania debut of former AEW star Cody Rhodes.

“I’m excited about the possibility. I never got to see Cody wrestle live. He left right before I got there,”

On February 15th, Rhodes announced that he and his wife Brandi had left the company he helped build and ever since there has been speculation that he is WWE-bound.

The latest update on Cody Rhodes’ status came on March 18th when it was reported that ‘The American Nightmare’ had already signed a contract which will see him return to WWE for the first time since 2016.
