Ronda Rousey Pushing For “Heated” Feud With WWE Star

Ronda Rousey

Ronda Rousey has seemingly got her way with her current creative direction in WWE but now it has emerged that she is pushing for a major feud in the company.

Rousey seemed originally set to face off with Rhea Ripley at WrestleMania 39 with the SmackDown Women’s Championship on the line. But the former UFC star had other ideas and pushed to form a team with her long-time friend Shayna Baszler.

That led to Charlotte Flair defeating Ronda Rousey for the title on the final SmackDown of 2022 with Rousey and Baszler going on to win a fatal four-way WrestleMania Showcase match on the grandest stage of them all.

Rousey and Baszler had an even bigger win on Raw in Albany, New York as they captured the vacant WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship after the title was vacated by Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez following an injury to Morgan.

Now Dave Meltzer has noted in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that as well as pushing for the two women to work together, Ronda Rousey has also pushed for the chance to “work a heated program” against her current tag team partner.

Tag teams and factions often come to blows in WWE and Roman Reigns has found that out to his cost after The Bloodline completely fell to pieces on SmackDown.
