Roman Reigns’ Touching Message To AJ Styles After WWE Retirement (Video)
AJ Styles’ retirement was on the same day as Roman Reigns’ return to WWE TV.
The OTC was a participant and the winner of the men’s Royal Rumble match. On the other hand, The Phenomenal One went up against Gunther at the premium live event.
The stipulation set for Styles vs. Gunther was that if Styles lost, his career was over. When The Ring General defeated him, the crowd was absolutely shocked to realize that The Phenomenal One just retired.
Roman Reigns’ message for AJ Styles
Following the retirement, Styles appeared on What’s Your Story? With Steph McMahon. During that show, a video played where other superstars shared messages about him.
This is what Roman Reigns had to say about The Phenomenal One.
Hell of a worker, hell of a teammate. Just an old-a** video game brother, you know what I mean? But that reflects, I think, who he is as a person. The discipline he has, being involved in professional wrestling, being on the road, but continuing to stay true to being a family man, being a father.
Just happy that I was able to mix it up with him when our time came years ago. It would have been cool to run it back and do it again, you know, explore new chapters, and what we could do together, because there’s just a, pun intended—there’s phenomenal chemistry there. So, Big Allen, have fun. Be safe, brother. We’ll see you down the road.
Whether or not Styles has retired just from WWE or from pro-wrestling altogether is still up for discussion. However, his wife penned down a note for him, which seems to indicate that he has retired from pro-wrestling altogether.
