Roman Reigns & Cody Rhodes Overlooked For WWE 2K26 Showcase
The TKO-owned promotion is gearing up for the release of WWE 2k26, the latest edition of its game under the 2k series, this March. It’ll be the 12th edition of the game under the WWE 2k banner.
Ever since the debacle of the 2019 edition, 2k has transformed the series and has made the game better each year. One of the most talked-about segments of the game is the showcase mode, which makes the game exciting.
The mode focuses on one of WWE’s biggest stars and their journey in the company, which is why it seems surprising that both Roman Reigns and Cody Rhodes, two of the biggest names in the promotion, have been overlooked for the game mode.
WWE 2k26 showcase reportedly focuses on CM Punk
The World Heavyweight Champion is a huge fan favorite in the company and is reportedly set to be the main focus of the upcoming game. Insider Gaming reports that the showcase mode this season will be based on Punk’s time in the company.
The report also claims that there is set to be a new What If? scenario in the mode, which will show how Punk’s career could’ve looked in the company, had he not left in 2014.

It’ll be an exciting mode for the fans to discover as they would love to play through one of their favorite wrestler’s career. While the cover star for the game hasn’t yet been announced, CM Punk could be on the cover as well, given that Cody Rhodes and Roman Reigns have been on the cover of the previous two games in the series.
