It was announced by Cody Rhodes on Raw that he’ll be on Smackdown with Roman Reigns this Friday.

Ever since Cody Rhodes won the Royal Rumble last month, fans have been wondering when he’ll get to be face-to-face with the Undisputed WWE Universal Champion.

Since Roman Reigns kept his titles at Elimination Chamber in a tough match against Sami Zayn, Reign hasn’t appeared on Smackdown. However, Reigns is finally booked for Smackdown, that confrontation is coming soon.

WWE has been advertising Roman Reigns for this week’s Smackdown in Washington, DC since last week’s show. The Bloodline has had some issues of late, especially when it comes to Jey Uso, so Reigns will address that.

Cody Rhodes was in singles action against Chad Gable on Raw this week. It was a competitive matchup that saw Cody hit an impressive Cody Cutter leading right into the Cross Rhodes for the win.

After his victory on Raw, Cody said he has yet to stand in the ring with his WrestleMania opponent, Roman Reigns. Cody talked about how Reigns is back on Smackdown this Friday, March 3rd and Cody is ecstatic because “I’ll be there too.”

Later on Smackdown, Paul Heyman (who is Special Counsel to Roman Reigns) claimed that Cody was really coming to Smackdown to confront Reigns.

Tune into Smackdown this Friday to find out what happens when Roman Reigns and Cody Rhodes meet face to face on the road to their WrestleMania 39 showdown.
