The main event for Ring of Honor’s next pay-per-view Final Battle is set following the events that took place on Rampage that will air on the 25th of November.

AEW Dynamite in Chicago was headlined by Chris Jericho defeating NJPW star Tomohiro Ishii to retain his ROH World Championship in The Ocho’s sixth defence of the belt. However, Jericho was slapped down by the man he defeated to win the title, Claudio Castagnoli, as the show went off the air.

The crowd in Chicago got to see both men later on in the evening as the 25th of November edition of Rampage was taped, so stop reading if you don’t want to find out what happened.

The Jericho Appreciation Society made their way to the ring where a buoyant Chris Jericho declared himself once again as the greatest ROH Champion of all time. An irked Castagnoli confronted Jericho before challenging him to a title match.

Jericho rejected the offer, saying that the Swiss star had nothing to offer him but JAS member Matt Menard intrigued Le Champion with an idea of his own – should Chris Jericho defeat Claudio Castagnoli then the Blackpool Combat Club member will have to cross the divide, and join the Jericho Appreciation Society.

Both Jericho and Castagnoli agreed to this stipulation so they will meet when ROH presents Final Battle on the 10th of December.
