Robert Stone Confirms A Huge NXT Championship Match For Stand & Deliver
Last week on WWE NXT, a new challenger emerged for Joe Hendry’s NXT Championship as Tony D’Angelo chose to act on the second phase of his return to the promotion.
D’Angelo attacked Joe Hendry with a spear after he had taken out both Ricky Saints and Ethan Page, and this chaos between the four of them led to a singles match between Ricky Saints and Tony D’Angelo for tonight.
The two men were scheduled to face each other in the main event tonight and wrestled an incredibly entertaining match, which saw both of them put in dominant performances at times.
Joe Hendry stands tall to close WWE NXT
D’Angelo had almost won the match as he hit a spear on Saints, but before he could finish the match, he was attacked by Ethan Page, who was present at ringside.
Page hit a chop block on Tony before him, and Saints started assaulting The Vigilante, before Joe Hendry made the save. He took them out once again, but hit back at D’Angelo as well, as he hit him with the Standing Ovation.
He stood tall in the ring as Saints and Page fought over the NXT Championship before leaving it in the ring. After witnessing the entire interaction, Sarah Schrieber asked Robert Stone about the events that transpired, and he announced that Hendry will defend the title in a fatal-four-way match against all three of them at Stand & Deliver.
