Rhea Ripley has a special goal she wants to accomplish with Jade Cargill at WrestleMania.

Ripley won this year’s Women’s Elimination Chamber match and punched her ticket to WrestleMania 42, where she will face the WWE Women’s Champion, Jade Cargill, for her title.

The two stars have been trading barbs on social media and live television over the past few weeks. During this time, the WWE Universe has also seen Cargill use the numbers game to attack Ripley and, at times, Ripley’s tag team partner and close friend, IYO SKY.

With WrestleMania 42 less than a week away, Ripley appeared on a sneaker shopping episode with Complex’s Joe La Puma at Flight Club in New York City. During the appearance, she discussed several topics, including her expectations for the match against Cargill.

Ripley stated that her clash with Cargill is going to be a huge match, and regardless of the outcome, she wants to give it her all. She reiterated that her primary goal is to win the championship, but even if she falls short, she wants to make Cargill proud of the match they put on together.

Ripley said, “This is such a big match that people have wanted since she came to the WWE, and we finally come to it at WrestleMania 42. With her, I want to go out there, and I want to give her a good match.”

“Whether she wins or loses, because let’s be honest, I’m going to take her championship at WrestleMania 42. It’s going to happen. It’s Rhea bloody Ripley’s show. I’m going to take their championship. But I want her to be proud no matter what the outcome is,” she added. H/T Fightful

While speaking to Complex’s Joe, Ripley also talked about her NXT days and why she hated it:

“Oh, I’m pretty comfortable. And what were the NXT shopping days like though, dude? It was terrifying. It made me feel like honestly how I felt in high school when I was shopping for my graduation.”

“I just felt so nervous and uneasy and I felt like I hated myself in everything that I was wearing. I thought my shoulders were too broad. I just thought I was like a weirdly shaped human. I just hated all the clothes on me. So shopping those days was terrifying.” H/T Ringsidenews
