Rey Mysterio Breaks Silence On The Judgment Day’s Betrayal Of Finn Balor
The Judgment Day betrayed Finn Balor on the March 9, 2026, episode of WWE Raw in Seattle.
During an in-ring segment, Dominik Mysterio called out Balor and blamed him for costing him the Intercontinental Championship against Penta the previous week.
Balor came to the ring and admitted that he intentionally did not help Dominik during the match because he wanted to teach him a lesson. Balor then called Dominik “spoiled” and suggested that Rey Mysterio had been right about him all along.
Soon, the verbal altercation turned physical when Dominik shoved Balor. Balor retaliated with a Pele Kick and attempted to continue the attack, but JD McDonagh intercepted him with a clothesline. Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez then joined the assault, officially throwing Balor out of the group.
Rey Mysterio Says Dominik Mysterio Is Untrustworthy
Days after the incident, Dominik’s father, Rey Mysterio, reacted to the betrayal. Speaking on Unlikely with Adrian Hernandez on March 14, Rey said that he had already warned stars like Finn Balor, Damian Priest, and Rhea Ripley about Dominik’s untrustworthy nature.
Rey added that the betrayal was not as surprising and that such behavior from Dominik was to be expected given his history.
“It’s a little shaky, man. I mean, I warned Finn like I warned Priest, like I warned Rhea that Dom is not the cat that they think he is. And I’ve known him my whole life. It seems like, like anything else, now they’re finding out on their own. Sometimes it takes time to really get to meet the person that you think he is, and he’s not. So, it’s crazy.”
Dominik Mysterio has developed a reputation for betraying people close to him during his WWE career. He first shocked fans when he turned on his father, Rey Mysterio, and Edge at Clash at the Castle.
After a tag team match against The Judgment Day, Dominik stunned the crowd by low-blowing Edge and then leveling his father with a clothesline.
He later betrayed Rhea Ripley at SummerSlam in 2024 to side with Liv Morgan. During the shocking moment, Dominik helped Liv Morgan leave the arena as the Women’s World Champion.
