Renee Paquette Joins All Elite Wrestling

A familiar face has signed with AEW because the company announced that Renee Paquette is All Elite.

Wrestling fans know Renee from her time working for WWE from 2012 to 2020 in a variety of roles including a backstage interviewer, a host of their Kickoff Shows and she also had a run as a regular announcer on Raw. In addition to that, she was also the host of the Fox Sports 1 show WWE Backstage. Her WWE name was Renee Young.

It was AEW Owner/President Tony Khan, who revealed that Renee was All Elite in a tweet he posted prior to Dynamite.

Since tonight’s episode of AEW Dynamite is the first edition of the show to take place outside of the United States in Renee’s hometown of Toronto, it’s fitting that Renee will debut there.

Renee’s husband Jon Moxley is the current AEW World Champion, who recently re-signed with AEW for five more years. The couple met in WWE, were even a part of Total Divas for one season and got married in April 2017. They have a daughter together named Nora, who was born in June 2021.

The news of Renee going to AEW was not a major shock because there was a report four days ago about how WWE believed that Renee was going to sign with WWE or may have already been signed. Also, earlier on Wednesday, it was reported that she might debut as soon as tonight’s episode of Dynamite.

Prior to working for WWE, Renee worked for The Score Television Network as a host of a popular wrestling show called Right After Wrestling that featured the likes of ESPN’s Arda Ocal, former WWE announcer Mauro Ranallo and former WWE referee Jimmy Korderas.

Congratulations on Renee to her new role in AEW. She can certainly provide a lot of experience in an interviewer role or on commentary if needed.
