Reason Edge Removed From The Judgment Day Revealed

Edge with The Judgment Day

The reason behind Edge’s unceremonious removal from The Judgment Day by Finn Balor has reportedly been revealed.

At Hell in a Cell, Edge and his faction, The Judgment Day, scored a major win over the team of AJ Styles, Liv Morgan, and Finn Balor.

Ahead of the following episode of WWE Raw, it was announced that the group would become even more dominant as they were to gain a new member.

On the show, the group addressed the WWE Universe and Edge revealed that the latest member would be former Universal Champion Finn Balor. The Irish Superstar said that he had experienced a moment of clarity and had spoken to Ripley and Priest following his team’s defeat at Hell In A Cell. Things then took an unexpected turn when Priest told Edge it was time to get rid of what was holding the group back, the Rated-R Superstar himself.

Ripley, Balor and Priest launched a brutal assault, leaving the WWE Hall of Famer unconscious in the middle of the ring following a con-chair-to. WWE has since claimed that Edge has suffered “non-displaced orbital floor fracture.”

In the latest edition of Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer offered an explanation for the move, claiming that WWE want to take the group in more of a supernatural direction, something opposed by the multi-time World Champion.

“The turn was kind of a last minute thing… He [Edge] was told that they wanted to go in a supernatural direction with the group and he didn’t like the idea, so they said ‘Well we’ll take you out of the group.’
