The March 20 edition of WWE SmackDown will feature Randy Orton for the first time since his heel turn.

The Viper turned heel on the March 13 episode of Friday Night SmackDown during a contract signing segment with Cody Rhodes.

Orton won the men’s Elimination Chamber match earlier this year, and he is set to challenge Cody Rhodes for the Undisputed WWE Championship at WrestleMania 42 in Las Vegas.

As mentioned, the two met for a contract signing on last week’s episode of SmackDown, where they shared a moment of respect before The Viper turned to his darker side. Orton launched a vicious attack on Rhodes, leaving him bleeding profusely from the head.

The segment ended with The Apex Predator sitting on a steel chair in the middle of the ring with Rhodes’ Undisputed Title in his hands.

Randy Orton Puts Cody Rhodes On Notice

This week’s WWE SmackDown will take place at the Lenovo Center in North Carolina. Ahead of the upcoming blue brand show, Randy Orton logged on to his Twitter account to share a bold seven-word statement.

Orton tweeted, “Wrestling has more than one royal family.”

This phrase is the opening line from Cody’s theme song and is often used by him in his promos. He used it to add more spice and drama during his feud with Roman Reigns and The Bloodline.

By using Rhodes’ signature line against him, Orton hinted that he is coming for everything Rhodes has built over the past few years, including the kingdom he built after dethroning Roman Reigns at WrestleMania 40 and the title that made him the face of the company for the past few years.
