Randy Orton Shares WWE Retirement Plans

Randy Orton WWE

Randy Orton had to face up to the fact he might never wrestle again due to injury and now he’s revealed why he wanted to stick with WWE during his retirement.

Randy Orton returned to the WWE ring at Survivor Series 2023 after 18 months on the shelf due to serious injury. Orton revealed that he was told by doctors his career might be over as he underwent back fusion surgery. However, The Viper is back and he hasn’t missed a beat since getting back in the ring.

Randy Orton Only Has Eyes For WWE

Speaking to Sportskeeda, Randy Orton discussed what he had planned for his retirement if the worst had happened and he still firmly planned to be part of WWE in some shape or form:

I would have been involved in some way, shape or form with the WWE. I think – I might be wrong – but I might be the only guy that’s only ever wrestled for one company his entire career. I could be wrong.

So I don’t see any reason why I gotta leave. I see being a part of the WWE family from here on out. And if I wouldn’t have been able to go back to wrestling, I would have been a coach, trained, done something. Maybe an on-the-road producer.

Randy Orton also revealed that he’s glad Vince McMahon is no longer running WWE despite still having love for the disgraced former chairman who gave him his big break all the way back in 2002.
