R-Truth has come out and cleared something posted by a wrestling news site outlet, calling them out in the process.

R-Truth (Real name: Ron Killings) has been a comedic character in WWE in recent years. He is a veteran wrestler in his third decade in the sport and is currently one-half of the WWE Tag Team Champions along with Damain Priest.

R-Truth was temporarily released by WWE on June 1st following his match with John Cena as a part of Cena’s retirement tour at Saturday Night’s Main Event XXXIX. He returned to WWE a week later, and his contract had seemingly been renewed. The hoopla surrounding his temporary release from the sports entertainment juggernaut and his feud with John Cena leading up to it were unpacked on the second episode of the WWE: Unreal docu-series.

R-Truth’s character was to undergo a major change last year when he shaved his hair and announced himself as Ron Killings, taking on a more serious tone. WWE quickly dropped the angle, and Truth had to go back to his comedic persona.

More confusion was created about his current WWE contract’s status when ringsidenews.com recently reported something that Truth himself dismissed on X.

R-Truth Calls Out A Piece Of News About His WWE Contract, Calling It A Lie

Ringsidenews.com recently shared the news that R-Truth has revealed that he does not see himself finishing his current WWE deal.

Truth himself responded to this post, saying that it’s lies and that he has blocked such news.

The news outlet shared the article that Truth responded to based on what he said while speaking to Daniel Sadoh in an interview. When asked what the next five years of his career might look like, Truth said: “I’ll be done before then.”

However, the headline for the article may have been misleading, which is what might have led to Truth’s response, calling it a lie on his X post, because immediately after he makes the above statement, Sadoh asks him about the next two years, to which Truth says that he’ll be around then as he has a four-year deal with WWE.

I’ll be around. I signed a four-year deal. But it’s like—the sky is the limit, man. It’ll always be the limit. I don’t believe in aging.

Here is the caption from R-Truth’s response to ringsidenews’ post on X.

They lying yall, AND they’ve been blocked for a while now for lying GTFOH

When put into context, Truth’s statements claim that he may be done in the next 5 years, but may be around for 4 years of his deal and even more if he gets the chance, according to his statements.
