Massive Pitch Made For New John Cena Role In WWE

This WWE legend has a very interesting role in mind for John Cena.

John Cena retired from in-ring action after his final match with Gunther in December last year, where he went out by tapping out to The Ring General’s deadly sleeper hold.

Cena has since teased a return to the WWE in a new role, and before that takes shape, current AEW and former WWE legend, The Voice of Wrestling Jim Ross (JR), has an idea for what the 17-time World Champion can do when he comes back to the WWE.

JR spoke about it on his Grilling JR podcast, where he pitched the idea that John Cena could be a great commentator, even complimenting The Champ’s smart mind and skills with words.

I’d like to hear John’s commentary, he’s smart, he’s got a way with words and I would…I’m curious as to how he might do in that role. There’s no doubt in my mind he’s got the talent for it but I don’t know if he would be content with that or not. But he’ll do a good job, no doubt about that, in my view.

John Cena To Host WrestleMania 42

What the WWE Universe knows now for sure about Cena’s first order of work back in WWE is that he will be hosting WrestleMania 42, much to many fans’ excitement.

The GOAT took to X to officially announce the news.

Since retirement, my “road” has looked a little different… but now I can officially say I’m headed to WrestleMania!!!! See you in Las Vegas!

Cena also mentions that he is currently shooting a movie called One Attempt Remaining for Netflix and that Hollywood is not too far from Las Vegas, where WrestleMania 42 is taking place. He then went on to tell the fans that he will see them there as the host.
