Paul Heyman Admits WWE Hall Of Famer Hated Nickname
Paul Heyman has revealed that a legendary WWE Hall of Famer hated the nickname that Heyman used for them.
Over his 40+ years in the pro wrestling industry, Paul Heyman has played many different roles. After starting as a photographer, Heyman became a legendary manager, which eventually led to him becoming the booker of the ECW brand, and he was also eventually the owner of the brand. Heyman has also worked on commentary teams, contributed backstage in creative, and has even been part of a few matches.
In early 2001, when the WWE Attitude Era was perhaps at its absolute best, Paul Heyman became the color commentator on Raw alongside Jim Ross after Jerry “The King” Lawler left the WWE for about 9 months.
While posting on X/Twitter, Paul Heyman bragged about his skills as an announcer, and also revealed that his fellow WWE Hall of Famer, Stephanie McMahon, hated being called the Billion Dollar Princess.
Just catching up on a lot of social media today.
This one popped me huge. Three things to notice.
(1) Man, I am not only cute, I’m the best damn commentator that has ever sat at the desk.
(2) @JRsBBQ says “I don’t know what I did to deserve this.” Yes you do. YES YOU DO! And it started with #WCWNewYork
(3) First people I commented on? @TripleH and @StephMcMahon.
Funny note – Steph HATED me called her the Billion Dollar Princess. Absolutely despised the monicker.
But rest assured, she got even with me for it!
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

Vince McMahon Pitted Paul Heyman Against Stephanie McMahon
When Paul Heyman was a guest on Stephanie McMahon’s What’s Your Story? With Steph McMahon podcast in the past, he revealed that Vince McMahon pushed a rivalry between Heyman and Stephanie because Vince wanted Heyman to help Stephanie become better at her job.
“We were pitted against each other. Oh, of course, of course, we were, we were absolutely. Well, you know, first of all, I just had spent seven and a half years of my life being God of my own universe. I was the end-all be-all. Now, I come aboard and I’m working for other people, and there’s an approval process where, number one, I was the approval process, and now I’m one of many pitching.
So when I came aboard, I was told, “My daughter runs the writing team. Take her out of her game. I want you to be the disruptor in the room. I want you to be the contrarian opinion. Do not make that easier. There’s no nepotism here. She earns that right to manage you, or she doesn’t get to do it.”
As for present-day WWE, Seth Rollins attacked Paul Heyman with a chair shot to the back and The Stomp on the March 2nd episode of Raw, so Heyman has been on a TV break.
