“Not A Death Sentence”: Chris Jericho Speaks Ahead Of WWE Royal Rumble

Chris Jericho

Chris Jericho’s AEW contract expired in 2025. Fans expected him to be working with WWE in 2026, but so far, nothing.

Rumours, reports, speculations, everything claims that Y2J is definitely headed to the Stamford-based promotion. However, Jericho is interested in working with TNA as well.

There are speculations that he will be one of the entrants for the Royal Rumble men’s match on January 31st, 2026.

Chris Jericho has a message about ageism before WWE Royal Rumble 2026

Recently, Jericho sat for an interview with Soundsphere Magazine.

During that interview, he revealed that ageism doesn’t exist, and old age is not a death sentence. So, if someone wants to continue their art in their 60s or 70s, they should do it.

It’s never too late. Ageism does exist, and you can’t worry about it. Your age is your age, but you can’t worry about it, it’s not a death sentence to be in your 50s, right or your 60s and 70s, there’s still time to do things. Maybe you’re not going to have a career like The Rolling Stones, but you can still do it – write a song, record a song, audition for parts – all that stuff you can still do! The biggest detriment to success that we have is ourselves! Why not (do it)? Someone’s got to do it, so why don’t you? [H/t: Fightful]
