NJPW Star Smashes Title Belts

The IWGP United States and UK Championship belts were destroyed in a stunning attack at NJPW Power Struggle.

Will Ospreay successfully defended the IWGP United Kingdom Championship in a hard fought battle with Shota Umino in the main event of a huge card in Osaka, Japan on November 4th.

Umino pushed ”The Aerial Assasin’ to the very limit in a 40-minute back and forth clash, but Ospreay ultimately retained via pinfall as Jon Moxley looked on from ringside.

At the conclusion of the match Ospreay would pay respect to his young challenger before a stare down with Moxley that saw the Brit throw the IWGP US Championship belt to the ground in a show of disrespect.

Moxley and Ospreay seemed destined to come to blows but were interrupted by Bullet Club member David Finlay who assaulted both men before shockingly destroying both belts with a hammer.

After the stunning event, it was revealed that Finlay will now battle both Ospreay and Moxley for a new title belt at Wrestle Kingdom 18. The highly-anticipated event will take place in the Tokyo Dome on January 4th.

NJPW Star Will Ospreay Could Be Set For WWE Move

Rumours are abound that Ospreay could be set to depart NJPW upon the expiry of his contract on February 1st.

Many initially felt his future may lay in AEW, but recent reports suggest that a move to WWE could still be a viable option.
