Nikki Bella may not return to the WWE ring anytime soon.

The Fearless One and her twin sister, Brie, were booked to challenge for the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship tonight at WrestleMania against Charlotte Flair & Alexa Bliss, Lyra Valkyria & Bayley, and Nia Jax & Lash Legend. However, she was pulled from the square-off after suffering an ankle injury a few weeks ago on SmackDown.

Tonight at WrestleMania, Nikki came out with her sister to announce that she had called a friend to replace her in the match. Paige then came out to a huge reaction from the crowd.

Speaking on the WWE WrestleMania Saturday post-show, Nikki Bella addressed her condition, revealing that she had undergone surgery two weeks ago.

The former Divas Champion admitted that she knew she would not make it to WrestleMania.

So, I actually got surgery two weeks ago from yesterday. So, I managed to break, sprain, and tear my ankle.
