Nick Aldis has announced a massive title match for the upcoming taping of WWE SmackDown.

The March 20 edition of the blue brand is the next step on the road to WrestleMania, emanating from the Lenovo Center in Raleigh, North Carolina.

The brand’s manager, Aldis, took to X to make a bout official for the Tag Team Championship, currently held by Solo Sikoa and Tama Tonga of the MFT.

Their challengers are Damian Priest and R-Truth, who won a tag team gauntlet match a couple of weeks ago. The newly formed tag duo also faced Los Garza last week, defeating Angel and Berto in a hard-fought match.

MFT, on the other hand, has been involved in a long-standing feud with The Wyatt Sicks. It remains to be seen if Uncle Howdy or any of his stablemates will interfere to cause a distraction for Sikoa and Tonga and alter the course of the match.

Randy Orton Turned On Cody Rhodes On WWE SmackDown

Last week’s SmackDown episode turned the Undisputed WWE Championship match at WrestleMania 42 on its head, with Randy Orton’s vicious attack on Cody Rhodes.

After signing the contract, The Viper launched a fury of strikes on the champion, even cutting him open with a shot to the forehead by using the steel steps.

Orton is expected to explain his actions on Friday. He also made a brief appearance on Raw via satellite, where he was seen speaking to someone on the phone.

Since then, the fans have been buzzing about who could be the mystery person. While many believe that it was his father, Bob Orton Jr., other names that have emerged include Shane McMahon, Charlotte Flair, and The Rock.
